Indian Textiles at the National Gallery of Victoria

Explore the rich traditions of Indian textiles and their place within the National Gallery of Victoria’s collection with Carol Cains, Curator of Asian Art at the NGV, who will discuss a recently acquired group of textiles and garments from Gujarat and Rajasthan. Many of the works are embroidered, but other techniques including patchwork, appliqué and wax painting will be illustrated.
