A Curator-Led Viewing of the NGV’s Exhibition Buddha’s Smile

Join Wayne Crothers and Carol Cains, Curators of Asian Art at the NGV, for a special viewing of the new exhibition Buddha’s Smile. The exhibition introduces the story of Buddha in his multitude incarnations, and Buddhist-inspired artwork from the NGV’s collection and private Melbourne collections. Focusing on the tranquillity and silent transmission of Buddhist philosophy through the simple gesture of a smile, the exhibition presents the unique styles and mediums used to create Buddhist art throughout Asia.
