Join us for the next TAASA QLD Ceramics Interest Group event – to be held at a member’s home at St Lucia. Please note the date change – in TAASA Review notices – the event was to have been on Ekka day – the next afternoon – but due to work commitments the event will now be an evening event on the Tuesday with a light meal, followed by tea, coffee and cake.
By looking at the European fascination for porcelain with East-Asian decoration, we explore misunderstandings and misinterpretations in ceramic traditions.There will be a previously unseen collection of early Meissen porcelain with East Asian decoration up for discussion and handling – together with photographs of their Chinese counterparts.
