Celebrating the 'Festival of Lights'
Courtesy of planet owner Ross Longmuir, TAASA will have a fascinating fun-filled evening at planet with its impressive offerings of stylish Indian textiles (new and old), Japanese ceramics and unique furniture hand-crafted from Australian timbers to designs by Ross. There will be presentations from Christina Sumner and Ross Longmuir on select Indian textiles, with tales of discoveries from Indophile Ross and recitations by much-loved performer Bhupen Thakker. Dr John Napier, Convenor, Bachelor of Music Programs, UNSW, noted ethnomusicologist, and specialist in Indian music will give a solo performance. (Full program available on the night.)
