The new North Building of the Art Gallery of New South Wales contains a wealth of Asian art, much of it previously unseen contemporary art. Senior Curator Melanie Eastburn will lead a tour of this.

Chinese belt toggles, known as zhuizi, are small carved ornaments hung at the belt as a counterweight for pouches or cases used to carry items of everyday use such as medicine and money. Over 80 toogles are on display.
Elly will guide attendees through the exhibition at Delmar Gallery, discussing the artists' relationships with traditional practices and how the works are brought into the contemporary art world.
