Elegant kimono clad ladies are an iconic symbol of Japan. However, in the space of little more than a century this garment has moved from being a staple of every wardrobe to the preserve of ceremonial occasion and specialist wearers.
Fiona Cole, from Singapore, gave a wonderful presentation in front of 26 members on the kimono, which culminated in a demonstration of tying an obi.
