Bonhams’ Chinese Paintings

TAASA members and friends are invited to an exclusive preview of Bonhams’ forthcoming Asian Art Sale (which is to be held on 25th October). Bonhams is offering a selection of over 60 fine Chinese paintings of the classical and modern era, sourced privately from collectors in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Auckland and various states in Australia. The paintings include modern masters such as Pu Ru, Huang Binhong, and Dong Shouping, as well as those from the classical period. Many were carefully assembled by one collector primarily during the 1960s from artists and dealers across Hong Kong and London.

Yvett Klein, Bonhams’ Asian Art specialist, will introduce the collection, walking us through the paintings from each period (pre Republic and Republic period), explaining the different regional styles. This will be followed by an opportunity for a guided viewing of the paintings.

RSVP: Bookings essential as numbers are limited. Email Jillian Kennedy at bookings@taasa.org.au, call Jillian on 02 9958 7378, or book via this website.
