Benefits Of Membership

  • TAASA members receive the 28 page colour illustrated quarterly journal TAASA Review. The journal has a diverse range of articles on traditional and contempory Asian Arts and culture.
  • A TAASA member is invited to a wide range of events including lectures, symposia, artist’s talks, musical performances and receptions at diverse venues around Australia.
  • TAASA members are given opportunities to meet others interested in Asian arts and culture.
  • TAASA members are given discounts to selected Asian-related events organized by other organisations.
  • TAASA members who spend more than $250 over a 12 month period at Asia Bookroom will receive a special 10% credit on all purchases. Asia Bookroom is located centrally in Canberra and operates a large mail order business that services all of Australia, Asia, USA and Europe. Asia Bookroom specialises in new, out of print and antiquarian books of Asian interest. Many of their books, CDs, DVDs are rarely seen outside of Asia. TAASA members can also join Asia Bookroom's E-List www.AsiaBookRoom.com and will be notified of special interest publications and special offers.   • TAASA members are offered a 10% discount at The Arts Bookshop, 1067 High Street, Armadale, Melbourne (03) 9822 2645 TAASA members are offered by Ziguzagu Japanese textiles at Kazari Warehouse, Hill St., Richmond Victoria the following: a 10% discount on kimonos, obis, Kumihimo silk cords & braids and Furoshiki wrapping cloths. The discount is not available in addition to any other discounts or to sale items, remnants, custom covered or made cushions and furnishings. TAASA members must produce their membership card.
  • TAASA members are offered a 10% discount at Oriental Books book stall at Federation Square Victoria on Saturdays. Members must produce their membership card.

* Corporate/Institutional membership more than ten staff $425
* Life membership includes free admission to all events $650
